Resources for Support

I get many requests, in a variety of ways from parents looking to be matched with other parents who are sharing a similar experience of child rearing or to resources. I invariably send them to two places in our area.

1. ASRC (http://www.autismconnecticut.org/): a catch all for anyone looking to be connected with resources in Connecticut. The ASRC connects parents and service providers, offers support groups around the state, and sponsors great events and an annual resource fair. You can contact the ASRC here:  info@autismconnecticut.org or call 203-265-7717

2. Success SEPTO (http://www.successsepto.org/): Holds monthly meetings with interesting speakers and maintains an extensive resource page. SEPTO organizes legislative action and is a relentless advocate for the voice of families with children who have special needs. For more information contact at info@successsepto.org
